The Monumentum Documentary is a project dedicated to the remarkable work of the scientists at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University. This documentary aims to shed light on the intricate world of nuclear astrophysics by offering an intimate look at the scientists who push the boundaries of our understanding of the universe. Through a series of interviews, we give these scientists a platform to share their experiences, insights, and challenges, while highlighting the creativity and problem-solving skills required in their daily work.

Rather than focusing solely on technical aspects, the documentary delves into the personal and intellectual journeys of the scientists, exploring how they navigate complex problems, discover new phenomena, and contribute to a deeper understanding of the cosmos.  Their work involves not only highly advanced research in nuclear physics but also collaboration across disciplines, embodying the creative potential that emerges when art, science, and technology intersect.

By documenting their stories, we hope to provide an inspiring and accessible view into the often unseen creative processes within astrophysics, showing how the work at FRIB is as much about imagination and exploration as it is about scientific rigor.
