“The field” creates an anti-stimulant environment using layered sensory stimuli inspired by ASMR. The installation disconnects visitors from hyperconnectivity, immersing them in a slow, tactile landscape of Korean silver grass.
Programmed fans move the field in subtle waves, light sources scan the space, and a multichannel sound system circulates whispered voices and ambient textures. As visitors walk across dried grass, perception shifts from stimulation to introspection. “The field” explores media withdrawal as an altered state, questioning attention, solitude, and the thresholds between natural and artificial experience.
